SCRIP-SAFE® revolutionalized the process of producing official academic transcripts with the introduction of secure transcript paper and Global Document Protection™. Registrars in the 21st century are facing new demands to manage their offices more efficiently while better serving their customers, the students. Today’s computer savvy students have high expectations including the immediate delivery of their official transcripts. In response to these demands, SCRIP-SAFE® developed eSCRIP-SAFE™ as an electronic alternative to the traditional paper transcript.
eSCRIP-SAFE™, the Global Electronic Transcript (e-Transcripts) Delivery Network, supplements traditional paper transcripts by providing high schools, colleges, universities, and third party recipients with a network through which official transcripts can be delivered in a secure and trusted environment. Delivery is instantaneous, fully traceable, and most importantly, easy. Business processes need not change and joining the network is simple.

SCRIP-SAFE® knows higher education! The establishment of eSCRIP-SAFE™ is a direct result of collaboration and participation by registrars, enrollment managers, and information technology experts. The results offer unmatched document security, instantaneous delivery, and increased office efficiencies.
eSCRIP-SAFE™ interfaces with the sending institution’s student information system when the transcript is ready for printing. The transcript print-stream that would normally be directed to a physical printer is redirected to a customized print driver which connects the student information system to the eSCRIP-SAFE™ server by secure internet connection. All data transmitted over the internet is secure and encrypted. The same high standards used for online banking and commerce are applied.
eSCRIP-SAFE™ does all of the work! The received print stream is converted to a PDF document and the transcript is presented in its original form. The resulting document also includes a transcript specific statement of authenticity and the institution’s legend/transcript key.
The student may designate that their official transcript be released to either a participating network receiver or a third party. Network receivers enjoy the benefit of receiving all incoming e-Transcripts with one account. Through the OneTime™ feature of eSCRIP-SAFE™ any individual, anywhere on the globe with an email address may receive an eSCRIP-SAFE™ delivered transcript following a simple and efficient registration process.
While the eSS network addresses and delivers PDF electronic transcripts now, it is also capable of transmitting XML (PESC) data between institutions. If an institution can receive and map XML transcripts, the data can be received via this network providing one source to receive both PDF and XML transcripts.
Advanced Web technology enables eSCRIP-SAFE™ implementation with most student information systems and does not require extensive IT time or support.
