Founded in 1989 by President and CEO Joe Orndorff, the company offers paper and electronic transcripts, custom diploma papers, secured corporate papers and desktop diploma software for over 1800 national and international corporations, colleges and universities.
SCRIP-SAFE® began its business by recognizing the urgent need to protect academic records from fraudulent misuse. As transcript misuse continued to grow, new security features were created by the company and were quickly adopted by customers as institutional standards. Transcript Security: SCRIP-SAFE® received its first U.S. Patent in 1992 for a security paper that does not require camouflage to hide a printed latent image. Custom latent images appear over the entire document when SCRIP-SAFE® documents are photocopied. Recently, custom translucent watermarks of a globe were incorporated into the paper, providing even great document security and instantaneous authentication.
Electronic Transcripts-Paper Transcripts: While these innovations improve paper documents against photocopying and undetected misuse, new security features are constantly being developed and deployed under the banner of Global Document Protection™. SCRIP-SAFE® recently added eSCRIP-SAFE™ an innovative electronic transcript delivery network that allows institutions to send and receive electronic documents in a secure environment. Email is not used and each delivered/received document is tracked by sender/recipient and transaction date.
Diplomas on Demand® enables universities and colleges to print diplomas in-house using standard desktop equipment. SCRIP-SAFE® provides each institution with customized diploma software and decorated diploma paper designed to their specifications. Diplomas on Demand® enable institutions to improve customer service, reduce diploma costs and eliminate the need to print unnecessary diplomas.
Corporate Security: As a security innovator, SCRIP-SAFE® attracted the attention of the corporate community. High value coupons, confidential documents and scientific laboratory notebooks were some of the corporate security issues addressed and resolved by the SCRIP-SAFE® research and development team.
